About Us
Karas Technical was founded in 1986 to provide specialized voice annunciated monitoring and control products for industrial and commercial applications.
Over the years, Karas Technical has become more involved with law enforcement requirements through its work in land mobile communication services. In 1987 Karas Technical built its first alarm product based on solid state voice synthesis, a reliable product but limited by it's fixed vocabulary. The Sentinel Portable Radio Alarm as it looks today was first introduced in 1990. It has regularly been improved to include user recorded voice messages, wireless alarm sensors and scheduling capabilities.
We have incorporated numerous customer recommendations and we continually work to meet their needs. We strive to build reliable, practical products.
Stationary alarm products have been developed for industrial applications which are based on the same technology as the portable alarms.
Karas Technical Services does all of its own engineering, manufacturing, testing and quality control at its facilities in Watsonville and Aptos, California.
